Inspiring Positive Parenting

Childhood experiences play a huge part in our transition into young adulthood, middle adulthood and old age. So for all us parents who are striving to give our children a secure childhood. Here are some great and encouraging results you have to look forward to as your child transitions into an adult.
Secure attachment: A warm/responsive childhood describes this first type of attachment. This means that the parent was generally warm, accepting, and responsive. This relationship also describes a secure environment where the parent did not stir any drama, anxiety or nervousness when being separated from the child and instilled in the child, the ability to rely on themselves and do some things individually and independently. Later on in life, this creates a secure adult that feels confident in life and is much more self-reliant, quick to face realities and problems that present themselves. In a relationship, secure adults feel comfortable with getting close to others and vice versa and are not anxious about being forsaken. Rather they will deal with love issues rationally and responsibly as well as staying secure in the relationship and more likely to be open to communication. In general, individuals that have had a warm/responsive relationship with their parents as children and more set up for success in life professionally and personally.
